Extend our palliative care awareness and advance care planning work to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, in partnership with First Nations health organisations and led by their priorities. Alongside this, develop programs for young people - building health literacy, opening conversations about serious illness and grief, and creating pathways to volunteer, fundraise and join the stem cell register.

After years of planning, commitment and community support, PBH is proud to have contributed to the establishment of ARAVANAI - an End-of-Life Care Unit designed to provide compassionate, dignified and culturally sensitive care to patients with advanced and terminal illness.
Located at Base Hospital Tellipalai in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka, ARAVANAI represents an important step towards strengthening palliative and end-of-life care in the region.
The project reflects PBH's belief that everyone deserves dignity, comfort and compassionate care.
ARAVANAI means "embrace" in Tamil - and that is what this space seeks to provide: an embrace of care for patients and their families at one of life's most difficult moments.
